Narsinghpur was one of the most important places in the ancient period. This
area was under the rule of the Rajvanshis including Rani Durgavati who was a

the Jat sardars in which the idol of Lord Narashima was kept and from then on
the village of Gadariya Kheda came to be called "Narsinghpur."
